Hutan is one of the new board games released this March by publisher The OP. In this tile placement board game players grow their own rainforest. They do this by planting sprouts and flowers that will eventually grow into trees. Each turn, players draft a card from the shared market and place flower tiles in their rainforest to help it grow. If the player places a flower on top of a flower with the same color, it will grow into a tree. When an area is completed with trees, a habitat for a forest animal is created. After nine rounds, the player who grew the best rainforest and attracted the most animals will score the most points and win.

Fun fact: Hutan is the Indonesian word for rainforest.
